About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable temporary production cook to join our team for a short-term assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen organization, ensuring that all meals are prepared according to established menus and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of related experience and/or training in a food service or kitchen environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrates a friendly and cooperative attitude with team members and supervisors to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Work Organization: Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively to ensure timely meal preparation.
  • Dependability: Reliable and consistent attendance to work shifts as scheduled.
  • Job Knowledge: Knowledgeable about cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
  • Attention to Communication: Clearly communicates with supervisors and team members to ensure accurate and efficient food production.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and supervisor instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food preparation areas, following all safety protocols.
  • Assist with additional kitchen duties, including dishwashing, inventory management, and preparation of ingredients, as directed by supervisors or team members.
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled to support kitchen operations.
