About The Position

The Clubhouse Cook plays a vital role in the food service operations at the golf course, preparing meals for daily service, tournaments, and private events. This position ensures timely, high-quality food preparation for members, guests, and staff in a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1+ year of experience as a cook or line cook, preferably in a golf course, country club, or hospitality environment.
Familiarity with short-order, grill, and banquet cooking.
Knowledge of food safety standards and ability to obtain/maintain a food handler’s certification.
Strong multitasking, time management, and communication skills.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and during tournaments or special events.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items for breakfast, lunch, and special events following established recipes and standards.
Support short-order grill service during peak hours such as tournaments, weekends, and club events.
Ensure food is prepared to order, well-presented, and served at the appropriate temperature.
Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized workstation at all times.
Assist with banquet prep, buffet setup, and other clubhouse events as needed.
Follow all health and safety guidelines for food handling, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
Participate in kitchen opening and closing procedures, including equipment cleaning and inventory checks.
Monitor stock levels and alert supervisor when supplies are low or need replenishment.
Provide input on menu items, seasonal offerings, and event menus when requested.
