Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow recipes and food safety guidelines
Nice To Haves
- One year healthcare food service experience preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal food code requirements preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals for patients, employees, guests and Congregate Meal clients according to menus and dietary guidelines.
- Organize cooking schedules to ensure timely meal service.
- Utilize kitchen equipment and diet lists to determine type and amount of food to prepare.
- Communicate with Food & Nutrition Manager regarding menu changes or substitutions.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
- Follow state and federal food safety regulations.
- Complete daily documentation and cleaning schedules.
- Communicate effectively with other departments.
- Report any operational issues or improvements to the Food & Nutrition Manager.
- Complete all required training within designated timeframes.
