About The Position

Food Production - Cook Room Opr PR03 - Full-Time Starting pay: $19.55/HR includes a shift differential of $1.35/HR for working 2nd Shift This position is responsible for cookhouses’ process controls, critical control points and documenting inventory while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Team Members with 4 attendance points or more (2 points or more under probation) will not be considered.
  • You must not have received a written warning within the last 12 months.
  • Must be willing and able to lift 60-80 lbs.
  • Must be willing and able to push and pull the equivalent of 700.00 lbs. on rail system.
  • Must be willing and able to push, pull, and lift heavy items.
  • Must be willing and able to reach high and low levels, frequently.
  • Must be willing and able to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
  • Must be willing and able to climb step ladders and or stairs.
  • Must be willing and able to stand on hard surface for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Must be willing and able to work in cold and damp environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting all cookhouses process controls and critical controls points (CCPs).
  • This individual will be responsible for documenting inventory control of each cookhouses at the moment of loading and unloading prior and after completing the cook cycle.
  • As an example of the controls this position will be responsible to document are product internal temperature, verification of set points, verification of PH, total house cook or processing time, any process variations and other assigned by the supervisor.
  • Individuals must be organized, able to use a calculator and computer, Plant view or any other data entry format like excel.
  • Candidates must have strong communication skills to be able to communicate with various member of management, Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Refrigeration and within the group lead.
  • Must be able to communicate well verbally and written.
