About The Position

University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds. JOB SUMMARY: The cook is responsible for preparing / cooking meals and other food requests based on a specific menu on a timely basis, and within a required volume, to meet the food needs of the residents and staff. Responsible for promptly cleaning and organizing the work areas to maintain a required health statutes of the facility. This is a PD position (As needed). Requirements

Have 2-3 years of related experience and have a valid food handler’s certification
Able to follow diet instructions and menus, compute quantities, and follow written and oral instructions
Be knowledgeable of food handling and sanitation procedures and proper food temperatures
Able to function independently with personal integrity with tact and flexibility
Ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and visitors
