Prepares food according to regulations and Avow standards by performing the following duties. Special meal accommodations will be provided. Essential Job Functions: Order food and kitchen supplies from supplier Check in and place food and supply delivers in proper storage areas. Prepare food according to recipes and directions. Prepare and prep food for the week to maintain consistency. Communicate with other kitchen staff as to what has been prepped for them to serve. Adjusts thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, and grills. Prepare food and plate for serving. Assures food is served at proper temperature and presented according to regulations and Avow standards. Keep all food labled correctly and placed in the correct order in the refrigerator and freezer at all times. Keep family kitchens and the nurses stations supplied with drinks and snacks with the correct labels. Must be able to bake cookies, muffins, brownies, etc. Keep all kitchen equipment, floors, mats, walls, ceilings, ad vents clean. Maintain readiness at all times for inspection. Make sure all equipment is in working order, if not, notify supervisor and put in a ticket to have it fixed. Must be willing to be cross-trained in other departments if needed. All other duties as assigned.
