Department Philosophy: The Food Service Department strives to maintain high standards of food quality and services. Meal planning will meet all necessary guidelines according to the residents needs. Job Duties: The Cooks Helper prepares and serves food for the Residents and staff at DeKalb Area Retirement Center. All Food prepared must meet the requirements established by Federal, State, and local regulations governing Institutional Food Service Safety and Sanitation. The cooks helper provides additional services to enhance the well being of residents during meal times. The Cooks Helper serves as a team player and as a resource. The Cooks Helper completes the job assignments expected of him or her in the time frame allowed.
