About The Position

Sunrise Retirement is seeking a part time dietary server with some cook experience to create a restaurant-style dining experience for the residents at The Pointe Independent Living. Hours: 3 pm- 7:30pm 20-25 hours per week, every other weekend required

Requirements

  • Able to handle and prepare food which is palatable and appetizing in appearance.
  • Able to follow oral and written direction and demonstrate excellence in customer service.
  • Able to follow written menus and recipes.
  • Able to understand and be able to prepare therapeutic diets.
  • Able to be responsible for avoiding food waste.
  • Able to assume responsibility for meeting meal schedules.
  • Able to be responsible for care of food service equipment.
  • Able to work in a cooperative manner with food service staff and other departments.
  • Able to attend in-service training programs for food service employees.
  • Able to observe infection control procedures and observe all facility safety policies and procedures.
  • Able to come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
  • Able to accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs from floor to waist.
  • Able to assume accountability for data contained in the employee handbook.
  • Able to back up Manager as needed and director and train other kitchen staff.
