About The Position

The Staff Pad is partnering with a hospital in Las Vegas, New Mexico to hire a Cook/Dietary Aide. This role is essential in supporting the dietary team by preparing and serving meals that meet quality, safety, and nutritional standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, an understanding of dietary requirements, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with cooking methods, food preparation, and institutional kitchen equipment.
  • Valid food handler’s card or Food Safety Protection Manager Certification from a NMED-approved program required.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal training in institutional food preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, chill, and serve a variety of food items as instructed.
  • Follow standard practices and procedures while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Safely operate institutional kitchen equipment and follow food safety protocols.
  • Ensure meals are prepared to meet both patient and staff needs in a timely and professional manner.
