About The Position
Chapel View, a Cassia community, is hiring a Cook/ Culinary Assistant to join our team in Hopkins, MN. At Chapel View, you'll be part of a supportive, mission-driven team that takes pride in making a difference every day for residents and families alike. As a Cook at Chapel View, you can use your skills to create delicious and nutritious meals for our residents. As a Culinary Assistants at Chapel View you serve residents, employees, and family members' meals. Our Culinary Department is a great group to work with and are valued by the staff and residents alike. There are no late nights in our kitchen! Position Type: On-Call Shifts Available: Varies between 5:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Requirements
- 1 year prior commercial cooking/ food preparation experience required.
- Must be able to read and follow recipes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Selected candidates will be required to pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Current food handlers license preferred.
- Work with an amazing team with decades of experience!
- Preference given to those with baking experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
- Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
- Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
- Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
- Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
- Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.
- Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
