About The Position

Chapel View, a Cassia community, is hiring a Cook/ Culinary Assistant to join our team in Hopkins, MN. As a Cook at Chapel View, you can use your skills to create delicious and nutritious meals for our residents. As a Culinary Assistants at Chapel View you serve residents, employees, and family members’ meals. Our Culinary Department is a great group to work with and are valued by the staff and residents alike. There are no late nights in our kitchen! Chapel View, a 100-bed care center, offers Short-Term Rehab, Skilled Nursing, and Hospice Care services. We have a diverse staff and supportive leadership team. Requirements

• 1 year prior commercial cooking/ food preparation experience required.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Selected candidates will be required to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Current food handlers license preferred.
• Work with an amazing team with decades of experience!
• Preference given to those with baking experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
• Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
• Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
• Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.
• Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
