This position is responsible for safe and sanitary food preparation and service while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all Tyson policies and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Team member in this role has a primary responsibility to prepare and cook food for the Tyson Café. Food preparation will be accomplished using daily prep lists, recipes, menus and direction from managers, food prep duties include assessing food quality, washing, cutting, and seasoning foods. Food is prepared through a variety of cooking methods including roasting, frying, steaming, sauteing, braising and more. Candidates for this role should have a basic understanding of cooking techniques, knife skills, basic kitchen terminology, as well as a strong desire to grow their knowledge and gain proficiency in their culinary techniques. Candidates should possess strong time management and organizational skills, be able to prioritize tasks and multitask when needed. This role functions as a part of the overall kitchen team, and as such, candidate should be a strong team player and have a focus on team success. Other aspects of the job may include tasks such as: receiving and rotating supplies, working food action stations, café guest interaction, and occasionally assist with dish washing and catering.
