About The Position

Thompson Houston is now recruiting for Cook 3 - Lead Line. Join our hotel's culinary team at our newly launched destination restaurant concept within Thompson Houston Hotel, Sol7. The 3-meal dining venue includes an expanded 1-acre pool deck serving hotel guests and residents, luxury cabanas, private event spaces, indoor-outdoor dining areas and the best views of downtown. This restaurant is managed by Thompson Houston Hotel and Hyatt Hotels Corporation. This culinary position requires good communication skills as well as at least three years of previous line and fine dining experience. A Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred. Candidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills including preparation of soups, sauces, stocks, frying, broiling. Requirements

  • Requires good communication skills.
  • 3 years of previous line experience preferred.
  • Candidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.
  • Able to work multiple stations in the kitchen.
  • Requires moderate supervision and training.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred.
