About The Position

The Operator is responsible for maintaining key performance metrics such as safety, quality, and delivery. This role involves assembling products using various tools, prints, routings, additional routing instructions (ARI’s), and guidance from Engineering or Supervision.

Requirements

  • A good command of the English language is required, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to read and understand routings/work orders, additional routing instructions (ARI’s) prints, B.O.M. and safety notifications.
  • Ability to use applicable hand tools (such as torque wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.).
  • Must be able to physically perform essential functions of the job.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Typically requires standing, walking, stooping, crouching and kneeling on a regular basis; reaching and handling frequently and climbing, balancing and crawling occasionally.
  • Specific vision requirements include depth perception and color vision.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Prior experience as an assembler is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive job instruction from supervisor.
  • Observe operator proficiency and re-instruct when necessary.
  • Operate material handling equipment.
  • Maintain accurate counts on materials, parts and supplies, report discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of parts and material to workstations to ensure uninterrupted flow of work.
  • Report labor and job data accurately.
  • Maintain quality, safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain clean and neat work area.
  • Perform other duties within the department or plant as required by supervision.
