About The Position

The Conveyance 1 Assistant Manager at TOYOTETSU NORTH AMERICA is responsible for overseeing and managing the conveyance operations within the manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring efficient and effective movement of materials and products throughout the facility, optimizing processes, and supporting the overall production goals of the company.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Proven track record of managing conveyance or logistics operations within a manufacturing setting.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement initiatives.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on optimizing conveyance processes and reducing operational inefficiencies.
Proficient in using logistics and supply chain management software.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and process improvements.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the conveyance team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Coordinate with other departments to align conveyance activities with production schedules and requirements.
Monitor and analyze conveyance processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all conveyance activities.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for conveyance operations.
Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
Train and mentor conveyance staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving conveyance efficiency and effectiveness.
Prepare and present reports on conveyance operations and performance metrics to senior management.
Address and resolve any issues or challenges related to conveyance activities promptly and effectively.
