About The Position

Converting Production Technician Sofidel America is a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, one of the leading manufacturers of paper for hygienic and domestic use worldwide. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled Converting Production Technician to join our team. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot converting equipment Ensure efficient and safe machine operation to meet production goals and quality standards. Perform routine equipment inspections, adjustments, and preventive maintenance tasks. Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues. Collaborate with the maintenance team for complex equipment repairs and upgrades. Monitor production processes, making necessary adjustments to optimize performance. Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and production data. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all tasks that operators need to perform to operate, maintain, and change over equipment successfully. Assist in training and mentoring junior operators and technicians. Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification in machinery operation or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Converting Equipment Specialist or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting converting machinery.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read equipment manuals and schematics.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
