About The Position

It is a behind the scenes position that requires handling of all arena and conversion equipment. This position requires extreme physical activity including standing, walking, climbing, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Candidates should be polite, friendly, and able to follow direction easily.

Requirements

  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and take direction well
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language
  • Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
  • Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
  • Ability to work in loud environments
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to walk to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying earther conditions and during high-traffic event times
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
  • Must be able to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop, and squat without any physical movement restriction
  • Must be able to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalks
  • This position requires extreme physical activity including standing, walking, climbing, and ability to lift 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months + prior physical labor experience preferred
  • Prior guest service experience preferred
  • Good time management skills

  • Excellent attendance

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for set up and tear down of various events, such as hockey, basketball, concerts, which involves dasher boards, glass, staging, tables, chairs, etc
  • Work cooperatively with all staff members
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours
  • Assure the health, safety, and security of co-workers and guest by following all safety procedures and rules and OSHA standards
  • Monitor and report to the manager any discrepancies, damage, loss of property, safety concerns
  • All other duties as assigned
