You'll prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily, while maintaining all Store, food safety, and sanitation standards. Requirements

  • Occasionally be exposed to wet, cold, ambient temperatures, and loud noise
  • Demonstrate the ability to lift 60 lbs, and manage in excess of 60 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Processes customer transactions of goods and services by collecting payment from customer; makes change for cash transactions
  • Uses electronic scanner to record prices; weighs items, bags merchandise, and redeems food stamps and promotional coupons
  • Monitors and manages potential front-end shrink
  • Provides superior customer service
  • Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections
  • Merchandises product effectively
  • Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build sales
  • Prepares fresh food according to recipe specifications and SOPs; cuts, slices, dices, chops food
  • Prepares, packages, labels, rotates, and merchandises product
  • Properly handles and maintains temperature integrity of all ingredients, product, and equipment operation
  • Complies with Store operating procedures and H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
