About The Position

About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented District Manager to lead operations across 10–15 convenience store locations within a designated region. This pivotal role is responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring operational consistency, building and developing strong teams, and elevating the customer experience across the district. This position can be located at any of the following retail locations: Mason City, IA Cedar Falls, IA Waukee, IA Ankeny, IA As the link between store-level operations and senior leadership, the District Manager will play a key role in executing strategic initiatives, achieving financial targets, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of successful multi-unit management experience, preferably in convenience, retail, or foodservice.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop large teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and be on-call for urgent operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Multi-Unit Leadership Oversee daily operations across multiple convenience store locations to meet and exceed sales, fuel, and profit goals. Serve as a visible leader in the field by conducting regular store visits and audits.
  • Financial & Operational Performance Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, including sales, labor, expenses, and shrink. Drive business improvements by identifying trends and implementing corrective action plans. Ensure consistent execution of food safety protocols, operational procedures, and brand standards.
  • Talent Development & Team Building Partner with HR to recruit, hire, and train top-performing Store Managers and Team Members. Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to build strong bench strength and reduce turnover. Foster a people-first environment that prioritizes employee engagement, growth, and accountability.
  • Customer Experience Champion a customer-centric culture that delivers exceptional service at every location. Reinforce high standards for cleanliness, merchandising, and visual presentation.
  • Compliance & Communication Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborate with corporate teams and senior leadership to align district goals with broader company initiatives. Serve as a key liaison between store operations and the executive team.
  • Flexibility & Travel Be available to support store needs, including on nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Must be able to travel frequently (75%+), including occasional air travel and overnight stays.
