Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics with 5 years' experience in Automated systems such as Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Robots, Vision Systems, etc. and/or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology and 0-1 Years of experience.
  • Able to read, write, speak and understand English at a good comprehensive level.

Responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose, and correct operational problems related to the equipment in the process of manufacturing and plant building areas.
  • Validate project to improve efficiency of the production machine.
  • Designing and developing PLC programs to control and automate industrial processes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure successful implementation.
  • Testing and troubleshooting PLC systems ensure proper functionality.
  • Modifying and optimizing existing PLC programs to improve performance and efficiency (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Documenting PLC programs, including code, wiring diagrams, and operating instructions.
  • Must develop modification of components for manufacturing machines.
  • Review specifications of blueprints of mechanical and electrical components of machines.
  • Must understand logical sequence of any programmable controller.
  • On new automated machine must be capable of troubleshooting pneumatic, electrical & mechanical systems.
  • Must install new machines.
  • Must ensure their proper operation in compliance with quality and manufacturing procedures.
  • Must repair and provide maintenance to equipment, machinery by the utilization of sophisticated testing equipment, and specialized manuals.
  • Must support production lines to maintain machines and manufacturing equipment working in excellent conditions.
  • Disassemble equipment or machinery, disconnect controls, and remove defective parts so they may be repaired or substituted and perform preventive maintenance according to established standards.
  • Must complete validation execution on new or existing machines.
  • Prepare documentation of all changes performed on the equipment, including mechanical, electrical blueprints.
  • Must provide training to machine operators and technicians.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Manually document (ex: checker chart) and/or electronically (ex: POMs) the required information to comply applicable procedures and specifications. This information includes but is not limited to process parameters, lots, amount of production, and others.
  • Responsible for conducting EHS inspections to identify and correct safety hazards and environmental aspects.
  • Follow the EHS applicable procedures and analyze EHS incidents (including near misses) to find causes and take corrective action.
  • Ensure Overall Equipment Effectiveness metrics are met for the departments, including but not limited to downtime and scrap.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues in existing Human Machine Interface Systems (Factory Talk).
  • Monitor and troubleshoot vision inspection systems, adjust and fine tune camera settings, lighting and software parameters for optimal performance under compliance like Insight Vision Explorer Cognex & Keyence.
