About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician with hands-on experience in Tridium Niagara (N4), Honeywell, or Schneider Electric building automation systems. This role involves installing, programming, commissioning, and servicing BAS/HVAC control systems across commercial and institutional facilities. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter with solid controls knowledge and the ability to work independently in field environments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with BAS/HVAC controls installation, programming, or service.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Niagara N4, Honeywell, or Schneider Electric systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC fundamentals, sequence of operations, and control strategies.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, riser diagrams, and submittals.
  • Familiarity with low-voltage wiring, terminations, and network communication basics.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer project sites.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with strong communication and customer service abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Niagara N4 certification or equivalent OEM/factory training.
  • Experience working with energy dashboards, supervisory software, or analytics platforms.
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, firewalls, switches, routers).
  • Experience with BAS retrofit, system upgrades, or integration projects.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission HVAC control systems, BAS devices, and networked controllers.
  • Program and troubleshoot Niagara N4, Honeywell, or Schneider Electric control platforms.
  • Integrate third-party systems using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks communication protocols.
  • Perform site diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on BAS equipment.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and electricians to deliver high-quality installations.
  • Document as-built changes, create point files, and provide detailed service and commissioning reports.
  • Provide technical support, system walk-throughs, and basic end-user training for clients.
