Trane Technologies, a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable, and efficient climate solutions, is seeking a Controls Technician Apprentice. This role is part of a unique, highly sought-after Trane Commercial HVAC Technician Apprenticeship Program (TAP), which is a robust, four-year program Nationally Registered through the US Department of Labor. The program includes paid instruction time and on-the-job training, pairing participants with dedicated mentors to learn about the HVAC industry. As participants advance, they will receive regular pay increases, and upon successful completion, they will be awarded a nationally recognized industry credential and promoted to an HVAC Service Technician. The apprentice will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by servicing products, equipment, and systems at customer locations, including identifying, examining, diagnosing, and planning for equipment repair. They will collaborate with supervising field technicians, project managers, and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize work. The role involves using cutting-edge software, technology, hand-tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications for diagnostics and repairs, while continually enforcing high safety standards and maintaining security and accountability of company assets. The work involves engaging with customers and collaborating with colleagues in the office when not on customer sites.
