About The Position

The Control Systems group is made up of a diverse team of engineers covering software (traditional and model-based), systems, electronics, mechanical and system (cyber) security. We work closely together on the design, integration, testing, in-service support and supply chain management to ensure our customers’ needs are met. Control Systems at Rolls-Royce is an integral part of making sure the power and propulsion systems we produce meet customer requirements and uphold quality, safety and security standards. The various teams design and maintain the software and hardware that support the power and propulsion systems deployed around the world. Systems and Software teams: design and develop the systems and software used to control, monitor and communicate information required to operate an engine Systems Safety teams: design the systems and architecture required to ensure our products safe under all expected operating conditions, including multiple fault conditions

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity and the ability to solve problems using analytical and critical thinking
  • Ability to identify problems and plan and execute tasks
  • Good written and oral communication to a variety of audiences (e.g., team members, technical experts and management)
  • Strong presentation skills - both oral and visual
  • Attending an accredited college/university working towards a bachelor's degree or higher in: Software, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • To be considered, you must also be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Supported by a Senior Engineer, you’ll get to work on a wide variety of projects to support our customers in areas including systems, software, and safety covering design, integration, system security, real-time simulation and test.
