A Controls Support Technician Tier 1 performs troubleshooting on car wash controls systems that are escalated from our Equipment Support team. Troubleshooting will primarily be done remotely from our headquarters, utilizing email, phone calls, and video calls. They will analyze and diagnose problems with controls hardware & software to solve issues for our clients around the globe, as well as collaborate with our Controls Engineers to continuously improve our controls systems.   • Handle & manage escalated issues with PLCs, HMI, and other control wash technologies
  • Develop and maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures, system configurations and best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback and suggesting enhancements
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems with the utilization of electrical drawings and common electrical tools (ex. Voltmeter)
  • Adherence to electrical safety protocols when working with both 24v DC and high voltage three phase systems
  • Accurately gather and document information related to tickets/calls
  • Participate in training and development opportunities as assigned
  • Create, respond, and track support requests via the ticketing system daily
  • Utilization of internal and external resources to find solutions to problems
  • Other Duties as assigned
  • 2+ years of electrical/controls experience (PLCs, VFDs, Motors, Low & High Voltage systems)
  • Experience with low/high voltage electrical
  • Experience working within a technical helpdesk environment
  • Ability to efficiently organize workload and manage time
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Windows Operating System (Microsoft suite, File Explorer, Command Prompt)
  • Process-oriented and strong collaborator with the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments
  • Able to display composure in stressful situations in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses

  • Able to train on equipment and controls systems to other technicians when needed
