Requirements

  • 5+ years in electrical or mechanical construction, with 4–6 years of supervisory experience in HVAC controls or building automation.
  • High competency in building automation systems, Tridium Niagara, and Distech Controls.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead teams.
  • Strong planning, client relations, and communication skills.
  • High ethical standards, decision-making quality, and a results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and develop system specialists to enhance skills, professionalism, and technical ability.
  • Provide performance management, feedback, and coaching for direct reports.
  • Create and execute training plans.
  • Assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee field teams to ensure schedules are maintained and projects progress efficiently.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain team members while fostering a supportive, performance-based culture.
  • Maintain expertise in Distech Controls, building automation systems, and Smart Building Technologies.
  • Drive quality and safety standards, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, configure, and repair building automation systems and related equipment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and commissioning agents to ensure successful project execution.

  • Competitive Pay: $50-$65 per hour. Commensurate with experience. This range represents a general guideline; however, several factors are considered when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
