About The Position

About the Team: The Engineering Lead/Supervisor - Controls & IT is responsible for leading the IT and controls engineering team through effective communication and project management of IT, electrical, programming and safety engineering activities from the problem state to the solution validation state for the Marysville Plant.   What you can look forward to as the Controls / IT Engineering Supervisor: Assign tasks, review and track progress, initiate projects, train and motivate employees, champion individual and team efforts, and support professional development to achieve leadership and organizational goals of blended Controls / IT team. Provide tools for direct reports to achieve goals and receive plant support (in terms of personnel, equipment, training, etc.). Ensure positive employee relations and provide support for annual employee feedback. Inspire a positive, team oriented, and collaborative environment.  Lead continuous improvement programs, CIS initiatives, and provide support for team and Marysville. Coach team through PLC programming with Siemens, Rockwell and Fanuc, along with CNC control platforms for Fanuc and Siemens and IT network infrastructure and Cybersecurity. Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to define optimal design solutions and standards and resolve technical issues effectively. Manage the development of IT and controls engineering specifications for all equipment manufacturers and use these specifications to improve the new equipment purchase process within the plant. Direct IT team with systems development, implementation and support.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering (Preferred BSEE). Extensive related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in Controls/IT engineering or related engineering field. Experience in leadership/project management.
  • Experience in PLC programming with Siemens, Rockwell and Fanuc.
  • Ability to design electrical and electronic control systems for machine processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and experience with Microsoft SQL and Server experience.
  • Working knowledge of MES/FIS systems, database solutions.
  • IT infrastructure knowledge, e.g., communications, servers, end-user devices including PCs (not as the primary designer, but to work with shared support groups).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
