About The Position

EMCOR Services NY/NJ has an opportunity for a Controls Service Technician. The Controls Services Technician is responsible for completing service calls while maintaining positive client relations.

Requirements

Field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC Systems commissioning, software integration operation, calibration and experience with pneumatic
Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical/electrical
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical
Strong communication, organizational and documentation
Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, N4 Workbench, AutoCAD, various operating
Proven track record of completing projects, being self-motivated and achieving customer satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Honeywell Niagara/Tridium N4 is preferred

Responsibilities

Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency service calls on existing BMS
Install, troubleshoot and repair system components including sensors, actuators, controllers, and networking devices
Troubleshoot installations and correct deficiencies without direct
Perform functional testing and system validation
Effectively communicate with customers to evaluate service needs, maintain proper scheduling and ensure high levels of customer
Monitor customer buildings to ensure optimum performance standards are being achieved. Fine tune systems as new programs and sequences are
Identify opportunities for additional building enhancements and perform upgrades and/or small scale retrofits on existing systems.
Perform building surveys and work with Service Manager on estimating additional
Perform necessary software programming, equipment start-up, tuning and calibration and commissioning of BAS
Be proficient in knowledge of following equipment: VAVs, Exhaust Fans, Unit Vents, AHUs, Hot Water Systems, Chiller Water Systems, and
Stay informed of industry developments for energy savings strategies.
Effectively provide feedback to supervisor for ways to improve the installation
Assume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by
Deploy, revise, checkout, and commission building automation, DDC, energy management and controls systems hardware, software and
