About The Position

We have partnered with an industrial manufacturing company in the Roxboro, NC area to provide them with a Controls Engineer. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.

Requirements

2 years experience in Programmable Logic Controllers and Human Machine Interfaces, with Siemens experience a plus (will consider exceptional candidate with Allen Bradley experience)
Bachelors degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited University
Experience in a continuous process manufacturing facility a plus, but not required
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
100% in office
No sponsorship or Visa holders.
No Corp-to-Corp.

Responsibilities

Perform job duties in compliance with site safety rules, with the intent of supporting an injury-free work environment.
Assist the plant manager with the implementation of the site safety systems.
Notify the plant manager of any safety systems malfunctions or violations.
Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the site quality management system through personal accountability, systems integration, and risk-based thinking.
Abide by job related procedures, work instructions and other guidelines designed to help ensure the quality of the finished product.

Assist the plant manager and safety manager with the implementation of the site safety systems.
Notify the plant manager and/or safety manager of any safety systems malfunctions or violations.
Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the site quality management system through personal accountability, systems integration, and risk-based thinking.
Provide support with IT functions in multiple areas, including Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces, automation, and desktop networks
Perform various integration tasks, such as SCADA development, monitoring and improving processes, and collecting data
Use design drawings, electrical schematics, and panel layouts to analyze and maintain company systems
Manage multiple automation projects, incorporating the following:
Review project documentation
Communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
Develop an understanding of the process being controlled and the requirements for completion
Create sequences of operations
Direct co-workers and contractors as necessary
Help analyze downtime as it relates to IT activities and functions and develop corrective action to improve performance
Support IT functions in server and desktop hardware and software support
Perform any other tasks assigned by the Information Technology Manager
Support the companys quality and safety initiatives
