General Motors is looking to add a Controls Engineer (CE) on an off shift 2nd or 3rd shift! The CE will manage projects while supporting daily manufacturing operations within a team environment. In this role work will be of technical nature with decisions made within the limits of general practices, policies and standards meeting required safety guidelines. Work will involve complex manufacturing problems including the need to troubleshoot and follow issues to resolution. Previous experience working with Rockwell and FANUC robots is required. The CE will be responsible for equipment related to the manufacturing process. Substantial independent judgment in complex or unusual situations is typical in this role. The CE also may be responsible for training others and assigning work to a small group of employees.
