About The Position

The Controls Engineer is responsible for assisting Project Engineers in the development of software interfaces for vacuum pumping systems and electrical control panels. The role involves developing PLC programming logic and control sequencing for vacuum systems equipment, utilizing software platforms such as Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500/5000.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
• Experience in electrical and software system design.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley software platforms.
• Proficiency in PC skills, including MS Office, Word, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Siemens WinCC and CMore Automation Direct software is desirable.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Eplan is highly desired.
• Customer-focused and team-spirited.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC programming logic and control sequencing for vacuum systems equipment using Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500/5000, and other software platforms.
• Program process visualization software for operator interface control.
• Integrate controls into various field bus and Industrial Ethernet networks, including those with Profibus, EtherNet/IP, and RS-232/RS-485 serial communication.
• Understand and interpret BOMs and electrical layout drawings pertaining to the manufacture of vacuum systems.
• Assist sales and project engineers in specifying equipment and providing support to the sales and marketing team.
• Conduct field troubleshooting and commissioning of systems.
• Implement necessary changes to resolve manufacturing and field problems, improving product performance and reliability.
