This specific role is for a Controls Engineer I, an onsite position located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from 4-year College or university in related engineering field, or equivalent experience, calculated as two (2) years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study.
Exposure to industry, an equivalent combination of education or experience.
Experience with PLC's, HMI, Robot, AutoCAD, Motion Control, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and/or Vision Systems.
Travel to customer sites for installation and startup of equipment; up to 25% travel expected yearly.

Nice To Haves

Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and document control systems for various types of automated equipment.
Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with the appropriate build and electrical teams.
Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to customer and/or JR Automation build specifications using standard techniques and approach.
