Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or 15+ years of experience in configuration control
  • Comprehensive knowledge of products & services, processes, tools, and organizational structure, with a working knowledge of controls
  • Highly organized with data, tools, & communications, using a systematic approach to problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (e.g., ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders/customers, both written & oral.)
  • The Understanding the process of Manufacturing from concept to finished product.
  • US Citizen or Green Card required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans: Create, update, and implement project BOMs as well as configuration management (CM) processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage changes: Oversee the identification, control, and implementation of all configuration changes, ensuring they are documented and approved.
  • Track and document: Maintain and track a "baseline" of all configuration items, including hardware, software, and documentation, and maintain accurate records in a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Perform audits: Conduct regular audits of configurations to ensure they align with established standards, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Resolve issues: Analyze and resolve configuration-related issues and provide support for system upgrades and maintenance.
  • Support teams: Collaborate with development, operations, and other teams to ensure accurate configuration data and to train staff on CM processes and tools.
  • Monitor progress: Monitor the progress of configuration items and prioritize actions needed for management and control
  • Coaching: Act as a mentor & resource for more junior resources in similar roles, as well as for those working within project teams.
