General Responsibilities: The Support Technician provides first-line technical assistance to end users, ensuring timely resolution of basic hardware, software, and network issues. This role serves as the initial point of contact for support requests and is responsible for troubleshooting, documenting, and escalating issues as appropriate. Specific Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact for IT and controls support Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electronic equipment Perform periodic inspections, testing, adjustments, calibrations and servicing activities necessary to assure the proper operation of process instrumentation and control systems in the plant operations and wastewater treatment process Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues Provide support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals Monitor control equipment for proper operation, performance and safety Assist users with operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and basic business software Perform user account setup, password resets, and access management Support onboarding and offboarding of employees (equipment setup, access provisioning) Maintain inventory of IT and controls equipment and assist with asset tracking Run conduit and network cabling Follow IT policies, security standards, and best practices
