About The Position

The Controls & Automation Delivery Supervisor will be responsible for partnering with internal and external stakeholders to familiarize themselves with Evolution's hardware, software, and network; administer controls environment (hardware, software, networks); and maintaining and executing automation solutions that enhance the control systems' capabilities. They will be responsible for assisting operations and maintenance in sustaining equipment availability through the controls & automation platform. Responsible for the implementation and execution of Evolution's Controls & Automation objectives that meets company's business needs and optimize supporting processes to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, and any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Proficiency in the spoken English language.
  • Position requires in-person, predictable attendance.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
  • Employment is contingent upon meeting the company's driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
  • 10+ years of automation, controls, and electrical equipment experience OR 7+ years of experience and a degree in Electrical, Controls, or Automation Technology.
  • Able to read electrical/controls drawings.
  • Able to read network diagrams.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
  • Experience successfully leading and executing controls and automation projects with the ability to effectively manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
  • Strong working knowledge of control systems, SEIMENS hardware, and control software systems and environments.
  • Excellent ability to read, interpret, understand, and write SCL PLC programming language.
  • Experience delivering controls & automation projects.
  • Strong ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical principles accurately and effectively to stakeholders and management.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree from an accredited institution in engineering technology or the engineering field is preferred.
  • Specific knowledge of Hydraulic Fracturing activities preferred.
  • Specific Knowledge of the Siemens 57 platform preferred.
  • Knowledge of Equipment controls and logic.

Responsibilities

  • Manages Company controls platform, code base, and all related hardware, software, opportunities, and risks.
  • Understands equipment electrical controls and can actively work to troubleshoot issues with PLCs, controllers, networks, VFD's, and power systems, controls software, and all other related elements.
  • Develops and implements plans to enhance control system hardware, networks, HMI interfaces, code base, and all other related elements
  • Organizes deployed technology environment around control network, updates deployment processes, version tracking across equipment types, and outside technology integrations in the field.
  • Manages and supports all aspects of the company's control system and related network environment and ensures the environment adequately support company's current and future needs.
  • Oversees evaluation and maintenance of related technology standards and best practices.
  • Maintains a high level of knowledge on control systems, hardware, and programming/software standards and market trends to keep the company environment current.
  • Responsible for growing and developing the Field Controls & Automation team in accordance with the company's strategic objectives and relevant workloads.
  • Oversees projects and assignments within the Field Controls & Automation team.
  • Actively serves as the central point of contact for third-party automation integrators.
  • Provides technical support as required to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Proactively works to foster and promote an organizational digital culture that supports an integrated technical environment, business scale, and empowerment of the organization to achieve more through technology.
  • Educates current and potential stakeholders on EWS technology.
  • Will be required to engage with various technology vendors and partners.
  • Will be required to travel for discussions with stakeholders, direct operational support, and/or technology R&D or deployments.
  • Provides on-call support as needed 24/7 to support operations with controls & automation related issues.
  • Performs daily safe operations according to company policies.
  • Participates in company safety initiatives, including daily programs (written documentation, observations, etc.), and adheres to policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of all employees and drive operational excellence.
  • Complies with all government, industry, and EVO regulations and standards to ensure a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
