We’re seeking a Controller to serve as a financial leader and strategic advisor for our clients. In this fully remote role, you’ll work directly with clients across industries, ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and scalable accounting practices. This hands-on, client-facing position is perfect for someone who thrives on collaboration, relationship-building, and making a meaningful impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or client-facing advisory roles
• Strong QuickBooks knowledge (QBO and Desktop); QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a plus
• Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated and proactive in a fully remote environment

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary financial contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of clients.
• Lead financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Oversee client accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Implement and improve internal controls, processes, and reporting systems tailored to client needs.
• Partner with client leadership to support strategic decisions with financial insight.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure client success.
• Stay current on GAAP, regulatory changes, and accounting technology tools (especially QuickBooks).
