About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our accounting operations. This hands-on position is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, with a strong emphasis on inventory management, cost accounting, and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is a CPA with proven experience in a manufacturing environment, capable of managing day-to-day accounting activities while driving process improvements and financial accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing financial operations
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated ability to be hands-on and detail-oriented while also operating at a strategic level
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee the general ledger, month-end/year-end close processes, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage inventory accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
• Lead the development and implementation of internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
• Partner with operations and supply chain to ensure accurate product costing and inventory reporting
• Analyze financial performance, prepare management reports, and support strategic decision-making
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff; ensure timely and accurate reporting across all functions
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting and tax filings
