About The Position

The Controller will oversee the company’s accounting operations, manage financial reporting, and supervise a small team of administrative professionals.

This Controller will lead the day-to-day accounting and financial management of a well-established organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting leadership with financial insights during an important succession planning phase.

Requirements

• Previous Controller or senior accounting leadership experience within a small to mid-sized business
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
• Experience supervising administrative or accounting staff
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar ERP/accounting systems preferred
• Ability to operate in a hands-on, small business environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting including financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end close
• Supervise and mentor a small team of administrative and accounting professionals
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Support leadership with financial analysis and operational insights
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Work within QuickBooks or a comparable ERP system to manage financial data
