About The Position

Summary: Responsible for driving all facets of our accounting operations, monthly close cycle and financial reporting. Support Uniform Color (UC) philosophy focused on facilitating the growth of the organization, continually improving quality, and driving to a world class safety and environmental culture. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the creation of annual business plans and monthly flash forecasting using historical results and future assumptions. Assist Director of Finance with identifying and driving business plan department initiatives to completion. Oversee and provide guidance on general ledger transactions in the accounting department. Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Contribute to the professional development of direct-report accounting staff. Provide oversight and analysis of the perpetual inventory ensuring accurate quantities and accurate actual costing. Review and approve cash distributions for domestic and international locations. Coordinate the preparation of monthly work papers supporting the monthly close process. Drive efficient and accurate month-end and year-end closes. Assist with completing the global consolidation and financial reporting package on a monthly basis utilizing the company’s consolidation software (OneStream). Ensure global financial statements conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Coordinate the completion and explanation of the company’s financial operational metrics. Develop, maintain, and oversee strong internal controls across the global organization. Serve as an advisor for other international location finance departments to ensure consistent reporting, adherence to GAAP, and consistent internal control procedures. Responsible for managing the annual financial statement audit. Managing UC’s travel expense program Oversee tax compliance for US operations and manage any IRS or state tax audits as they occur. Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies. Follow UC Quality System-approved work instructions and procedures and help improve these as needed. Responsible for successful facilitation of all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • People management and communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with cost modeling, activity-based costing and inventory management
  • Ability to perform reconciliations, budget forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of MIS (especially Excel), reporting systems and internal controls.
  • Solid understanding of Federal and State taxes.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • 7+ years of experience.
