About The Position

My client, United Cabs , seeks a full-time CONTROLLER to lead their accounting team. This is a direct-hire (not a contract), reporting directly to the President. Earn annual salary in the range of $140k - $160k. Work is performed onsite in Bethpage, NY (not remote). United Cabs is a well-established, privately-owned company. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Full-cycle accounting experience.
• Knowledge of WIP and Cost Accounting
• Technology expertise, including Excel and accounting systems such as QuickBooks.
• Confident leader.
• Teamwork attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Accurate.
• Organized.
• Solution-finder.
• Deadline-achiever.
• Knowledge of GAAP.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably having industry experience with Construction or Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting staff and day-to-day functions (AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, etc.)
• Orchestrate the close process (month, quarter, year-end).
• Financial reporting and analysis.
• Internal controls.
• Achieve efficiencies and strive to maximize profits.
• Liason with Operations staff.
