About The Position

We’re seeking an exceptional Controller to join our leadership team who is friendly, energetic, highly motivated, and who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment. As Controller, you will be a part of our shared services team and will support all divisions of the PBS Brands to include Punch Bowl Social, Pinstripes, VoiceBox, Lyrical and Sweet Tooth Hotel. This is a Denver-based hybrid position requiring regular in-office collaboration with remote flexibility. What you’ll be doing: Leading the delivery of a high standard of management reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Managing cashflow and financing obligations. Effectively supporting financial reporting and compliance. Developing and promoting a well-controlled finance environment. Acting as a key player in company audit. Managing transactional finance team. Supporting the business on projects that drive value. Managing a team delivering management reporting, budgeting and forecasting for overhead costs. Responsibility for the group’s cashflow to include budgeting, forecasting and ongoing monitoring, together with the group’s financing compliance obligations. Acting as a liaison with budget holders providing insight into periodic results and ongoing analysis to support projects. Leading the financial reporting process at key times, including the annual audit process. Providing finance support to various business functions and projects. Developing the business’s reporting to make better use of reporting tools and to provide greater insight to key users. Reviewing finance processes and controls, providing recommendations on process improvement and formalization.

Requirements

  • CPA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4-5 years relevant post qualification experience, hospitality sector experience preferred.
  • Management experience.
  • Ability to work at pace and deal with multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Experience in both internal and external reporting, including GAAP knowledge.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Self-starter able to manage a range of deliverables and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. as needed
