About The Position

This senior finance leadership role is accountable for end-to-end financial management and shared services delivery across all USA business streams. The role leads centralized Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general accounting, financial statement preparation, and close functions, and is responsible for stabilizing and transforming a finance organization into a high-performing, business-partnered team.

Requirements

  • Proven leader of multi-function finance teams (AP, AR, Accounting) in a shared services or centralized model.
  • Demonstrated success leading and improving teams or functions.
  • Strong business mindset – understands operations beyond the ledger.
  • Comfortable setting high performance expectations and driving accountability.
  • Able to balance partnership with firmness; supportive but results-driven.
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-site operational businesses.
  • Finance experience during Mergers and Acquisitions from Due Diligence thru Integration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Hands-on leader who engages directly where performance is weakest.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 10+ years progressive finance leadership experience.
  • 5+ years management experience leading a team.
  • ERP system expertise (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite or similar).
  • Strong financial controls, reporting, and close execution background.

Responsibilities

  • Full leadership accountability for finance shared services supporting all U.S. business units.
  • Develop, train and maintain finance processes, controls, service levels, and team capability.
  • Establishment of a strong accountability culture, clear KPIs, and measurable performance improvement.
  • Shift finance from transactional support to proactive business partnership.
  • Lead all USA finance shared services including AP, AR, Accounting, Payroll coordination, and General Ledger.
  • Own accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting across all U.S. entities.
  • Ensure consistent, standardized processes across multi-site operations.
  • Serve as senior finance point of accountability for U.S. operations leadership.
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to operations, commercial, and executive leadership.
  • Proactively identify financial, operational, and performance risks before issues escalate.
  • Translate financial data into decision-ready insights that influence business outcomes.
  • Ensure finance supports the business, not slows it down.
  • Directly lead and develop AP, AR, and Accounting managers and staff.
  • Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and service-level standards.
  • Actively manage underperformance, including difficult performance conversations and corrective actions.
  • Build a culture of accountability, urgency, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-caliber finance talent.
  • Prepare monthly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports to senior leadership.
  • Oversee general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure integrity of financial data and records.
  • Monitor cashflow and working capital.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Monitor financial performance and analyze variances.
  • Partner with business units to improve financial planning.
  • Diagnose broken or inefficient finance processes and implement practical, scalable improvements.
  • Simplify workflows, reduce manual effort, and introduce appropriate automation.
  • Support automation and optimization of financial systems (e.g., ERP).
  • Develop self-service tools and dashboards for operations to enhance reporting and data accuracy.
  • Lead month-end close acceleration with robust controls and ownership.
  • Own ERP utilization improvement and working knowledge of transactional data flows.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and IFRS compliance.
  • Oversee balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure cashflow management, working capital discipline, and AR performance.
  • Act as key finance interface for audits, corporate reporting, and risk remediation.
