Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial operations. This role partners closely with the CFO to oversee day-to-day fiscal activities, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, maintain strong internal controls, and support strategic planning to ensure the organization’s financial strength and sustainability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field required. CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional accounting experience
  • 3+ years of financial analysis, reporting, or project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, federal grant compliance, and healthcare finance
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare accounting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP and organizational policies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  • Manage audits and serve as liaison to external auditors
  • Monitor internal controls and safeguard organizational assets
  • Coordinate budgeting, procurement, and financial planning processes
  • Analyze income and expense trends; recommend cost-saving and revenue-generating strategies
  • Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and purchasing processes
  • Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate, timely completion of work
  • Support the CFO with strategic initiatives, financial analysis, and process improvements
  • Provide oversight for USAC program reporting and compliance
