About The Position

The Controller will oversee financial planning and controlling, accounting and administration, compliance and reporting, cash flow and treasury support, cost management and operational efficiency, risk and insurance, systems and processes, team and resource management, and business partnership. This role requires a dynamic leader to manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and internal policies.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, financial reporting, and finance.
  • Hands-on experience in cost accounting and accounts receivable.
  • Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for the branch.
  • Monitor monthly performance versus budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Track KPIs, margins, costs, and profitability by department/project.
  • Support management with financial analysis and decision-making tools.
  • Prepare financial dashboards and performance reports.
  • Oversee daily accounting and administrative operations including general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, invoicing, and closings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Guarantee accuracy of financial records and reconciliations.
  • Supervise accounting documentation and ensure statutory compliance.
  • Coordinate with shared services or Group Finance when applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Prepare statutory reports and support audits.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants.
  • Maintain internal controls and proper documentation processes.
  • Support Group reporting requirements and consolidation packages.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital.
  • Manage payments, collections, and banking activities.
  • Support local banking relationships and credit facilities.
  • Ensure proper liquidity planning.
  • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support cost allocation and cost control processes.
  • Improve financial procedures and workflows.
  • Contribute to process optimization and automation initiatives.
  • Support risk assessment and ensure adequate insurance coverage.
  • Coordinate claims and relationships with insurance providers.
  • Protect company assets through proper controls and procedures.
  • Use and maintain ERP/financial systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity.
  • Support implementation of new tools and digitalization initiatives.
  • Supervise and coordinate the local accounting/administrative team.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance.
  • Support training and development of team members, fostering accountability, collaboration, and process discipline.
  • Act as financial point of contact for department managers.
  • Provide financial insights to support operational decisions.
  • Translate numbers into clear business recommendations.
