The Controller is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial functions and strategy of the organization, ensuring overall financial health.

  • Prepare financial reports and maintain accounting records.
  • Manage budgets, review quarterly and annual budgets, and help set company budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax compliance issues.
  • Provide comprehensive financial updates to Leadership.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
  • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies.
  • Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all departments.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, develop accounting team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and procedures, State & Federal law, and accrediting agency regulations and standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance preferred.
  • Five or more years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, banking processes and financial data analysis.
  • Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting.
  • Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes.
  • Exemplary history of financial project management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Ability to listen well and offer solutions.
  • Results driven with a proven track-record of meeting and exceeding defined goals.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as accounting software.
  • Valid, non-restricted Colorado driver's license.
  • CPA license, CMA title, or CFA title preferred.
