About The Position

Sirona Medical is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead our accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for a CPA with strong accounting fundamentals who’s ready to step into a high-visibility role at a fast-growing healthcare technology company. You’ll oversee a Senior Accountant and collaborate with our external accounting consultants as we bring more functions in-house. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll also have regular interaction with the board and executive team, playing a key role in shaping the systems and processes that support our next phase of rapid global commercial growth.

Requirements

  • CPA required
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting and industry (startup or SaaS experience strongly preferred)
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting
  • Hands-on operator who enjoys building structure in a fast-moving environment
  • Proven ability to manage and develop accounting staff
  • Strong communicator who can translate complex accounting concepts into clear business insights
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and presenting to executive and board audiences
  • Motivated by growth and the opportunity to shape the finance function of a scaling global company

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a fast-scaling, venture-backed SaaS or healthcare technology company
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition, multi-entity consolidation, and international operations
  • Exposure to financial systems like NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, or similar ERP tools

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and expense management
  • Lead and mentor a Senior Accountant while managing relationships with our external accounting and audit partners
  • Drive the monthly close and financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP
  • Prepare and present financial reports and insights for executive leadership and the board
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and documentation
  • Partner closely with the Go-To-Market organization to align financial processes with rapid commercial expansion
  • Support global operations, including new market entry, billing, and revenue recognition
  • Collaborate with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
  • Identify and implement systems and process improvements to enhance scalability and efficiency
