The Controller position is included in a workplace model that does not allow remote work. The Controller is responsible for managing the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Accounting department. The Controller is responsible for establishing and communicating financial policies, procedures, internal controls and reporting systems in order to maintain an accounting system which accurately reflects the financial position of STAR Financial Group and related entities. The Controller is responsible for ensuring the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles, as well as state and federal banking regulations. This position requires supervisory responsibilities of the staff and functions of the Accounting Department in accordance with the bank's policies and applicable laws.
