The Controller at CMP Pharma, Inc. will lead the financial operations of the company, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This role is crucial for managing the financial close process, compliance, audit coordination, and overseeing accounting systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid accounting background, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry, to support the company's growth and ensure financial objectives are met.

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for timely reporting to the executive team, owners, and bank.
  • Maintain close checklist, financial controls, and align roles & responsibilities of accounting/finance teams.
  • Review and implement accounting guidance and documentation in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the annual audit process.
  • Own and improve the company's ERP system (QAD) and oversee the iContracts system for accurate reporting and payments.
  • Document and improve essential accounting processes including Quote-to-Cash and Purchase-to-Pay.
  • Coordinate federal & state tax payments, 1099s, and other tax-related reporting.
  • Work with consultants on government reporting and processing requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Track and understand Gross-to-Net (GTN) components and participate in the GTN/Pricing Committee.
  • Oversee quarterly Medicaid reporting and annual inventory counts.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial team on pricing strategies and calculations.
  • Assist various departments with financial decisions and project tracking.
  • 5-10 years' experience as a Controller in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Master's degree in accounting or MBA from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong systems experience with ERP (QAD) and iContracts.
  • Advanced Excel skills including lookups, sumifs, and pivots.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization.
