About The Position

The Controller at Foodsmart is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial statements while providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth and operational success. The Controller will lead the finance team, implement internal controls, and collaborate with various departments to enhance financial management systems.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls, with proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
• Experience in healthcare or a related sector, particularly with Revenue Cycle Management (claims), is a plus.
• A proven track record of effective financial management, strategic planning, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Lead the budgeting process and collaborate with the FP&A team to develop financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards while managing annual audits.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and monitor cash flow to meet operational needs.
• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
