About The Position

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to founders from various high-growth startups and early-stage businesses. Your expertise in managing complex accounting processes will be critical in ensuring financial health and compliance. Collaborating with onshore and offshore teams, you will lead multiple client projects while creating financial models and forecasts. Your proactive approach will drive strategic financial decisions that positively impact the businesses you support.

Requirements

Bachelorâs Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
Concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred
10+ years of applicable experience in tech, CPG, and life science industries
Experience in Big 4 or national/regional accounting firms preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
CPA preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and time management skills

Responsibilities

Lead a full cycle accounting close, producing timely and accurate monthly financial statements
Analyze financial reports and communicate results to founders
Serve as the point of contact for external auditors and tax preparers
Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, and accrual journal entries
Manage accounts receivable and payable processes
Handle payroll setup and processing, including benefits management
Implement and utilize various accounting software solutions
Build financial models, budgets, and cash forecasts
Ensure tax compliance and management of the tax process with government agencies
