What: Provide outsourced Controller services including financial reporting, budgeting, grant management, audit preparation, and operational improvements for multiple nonprofit clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5–7+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with multiple GL systems, especially QuickBooks and electronic bill pay platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple clients independently in a remote environment
  • Passion for nonprofit organizations
  • Customized cover letter required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients
  • Transform financial departments to strengthen mission impact
  • Prepare financial reports and board-level presentations
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
  • Manage AP, AR (including revenue recognition), payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Perform budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and data visualization
  • Oversee grant management, allocations, and funder reporting
  • Prepare for and manage annual audits
  • Train client staff and provide financial leadership guidance
